The Photographic Session
I'll spend up to two to three hours with you and just take photos. If you would like some more formal posed shots I am happy to do that, it's whatever you would like. I usually just hang back and wait for the magic to happen of parents & children having fun. I will however offer some suggestions if need be. Some children need some time to relax infront of the camera and time is needed to warm up.

Afterwards
A few days after the session I will send you a CD with 2 or 3 folders full of the photographs from your session. These will be low resolution un-edited photographs, not the finished product. I will give you what I think are the best, 2nd best and 'trash' photographs so that YOU can decide what you would like.
You can then let me know which photographs you like and what changes/photo enhancements you would like. For example, removing spots, brightening eyes or removing something from the photograph. Or making the whole image lighter etc. Because your photographs have been taken with natural light and without time to pose they will sometimes need a little bit of work to lighten them up or be cropped.
I will then work on the requested photographs and email you with proofs. You can then let me know which are your preferred versions and confirm with me the final sizes and choices.

Due to the nature of the editing process and to make sure you get what you want I may have to send you a few proofs of your photographs inbetween the intitial CD and final order to make sure you are happy with your order. Some people like simple unadulterated photographs and some people like thier photographs with a lot more work done to them. It is your choice!

Here is a little taster of the choices you may get from one photograph (starting with the original). Some of the changes have been requested by the client. You can see on some of them I have removed background objects which do not look right in the shot or I have cropped the original photograph.

Processing your order
As soon as I receive your final order I will print your photographs and gifts. This should take about 1-2 weeks (or more for some gifts) dependant on what it is you want printed. I will let you know if it will be longer or if there are any problems with the printing. You will also receive a free print from me of my favorite photograph of the day.

Flexibility
If there's something in particular you want, do let me know. If the day doesn't go to plan e.g. children are ill or simply do not want to be photographed, or if I feel that another session would give you a better range of photographs to choose from then I will arrange another session free of charge. Having a daughter of my own I know how all of a sudden things can change and that with children things do not always work out as planned.
We hold your photos on file so that at any time in the future you can order reprints or additional items.

Fairies & extra special gifts.

I offer a 'Fairy Maker' service for those of you that wish to take your photograph one step further.. The minimum charge is £30 for 2 subjects in the photograph. Plase contact me for photographs with more than 2 people. And it doesn't have to be just fairies as I completely understand that not everyone wants to be a fairy!!! Boys especially! My Photo enhancements make the perfect birthday / Mother or fathers day gift or Christmas cards. Please feel free to contact me for further information.
